Leicester manager Rodgers admits Maddison struggling to make Chelsea clash

Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers has confirmed James Maddison could miss Saturday's trip to Chelsea.

The Englishman, who has scored two goals in City's opening three Premier League matches, has felt a 'twinge' in training.

"We're preparing well for the game and looking forward to it," Rodgers told the media on Thursday.

"The squad at this moment is looking forward to the game and we have another day to go before we finalise our plan.

"We've got an issue around James Maddison. We'll see how that is tomorrow (Friday). Hopefully he'll be okay but that would be the only doubt. He just a felt a twinge yesterday when he was training so we'll have to see what that looks like tomorrow."
