Leicester City want to keep Caglar Soyuncu at the club this winter.
That is according to manager Brendan Rodgers, who outlined the importance of the Turkish defender.
Soyuncu has often been linked with a move away from the Foxes, especially with his present contract expiring at the end of the season.
“I just think it's been a really challenging 18 months for him in terms of injuries and in terms of form," Rodgers stated.
“Cags is a great guy. We want him to stay here.
“But like a number of the players in the last year of their contracts, they look at their options. They're entitled to do that, especially with the age he's at. We have to respect that.
“Clearly he's a player we want to keep here. If he can keep clear of these injuries, that will give him a chance to get back to his level."
