Brendan Rodgers has confirmed Kasper Schmeichel will miss Leicester City's preseason camp in Evian.

The veteran goalkeeper has been granted extra-time off due to Denmark's summer fixtures.

"There's a number of them who will join us next week," Rodgers told the club's website.

"It's been very broken, this first couple of weeks. A lot of the guys have just come in, the first-team squad, over the past four or five days.

"Another group of them will join us in Evian. Kasper will be the last one back in, I've given him some extra time. He's going to the World Cup so he's going to have a long period of games once he does come back, so he's got that extra little bit of time. We're looking forward to Evian."
