Leicester City boss Claude Puel is willing to release Hamza Choudhury for loan next month.

Puel says he is open to loaning out Choudhury to get him regular minutes in the second half of the season.

The 21-year-old, who captains the under-23s, was one of the big positives from Tuesday night's loss to Man City in the Carabao Cup.

Puel said: “We have a lot of midfielders but I think when a player like an academy player can have good quality we have to give him a chance and give him game time.

“Perhaps in the last game he cannot give his best but he gave his best because he had confidence from his team-mates and staff and he showed his quality."
