Leicester boss Maresca happy with veterans Vardy, Albrighton for FA Cup win

Leicester City boss Enzo Maresca is delighted to be in the Fifth Round of the FA Cup.

The Foxes defeated fellow Championship club Birmingham City 3-0, with Jamie Vardy scoring on the day.

Maresca later said: "First half we were lucky. Second half we changed something. To play in the style we want to play and in the way we want to play we need the ball, and first half we didn't have it, so it was difficult. We conceded the ball to them and just defended, and that is not our game.

"I expected it a little, we made many changes including several young players from the academy, that that is normal [to have a drop in performance]. Second half we adjusted and it was much better."

On Vardy, he said: "No one can teach Jamie how to score goals. He has scored goals all his life. It was a good goal, fantastic assist from Marc [Albrighton] who played an unbelievable game. Happy for all the players but especially the ones who have been here for many years and continue to help us a lot.

"Game by game is the only way. Now our focus has to be Tuesday, it is not easy, only 72 hours. We go again and try to win on Tuesday."
