Leeds striker Bamford reveals Bielsa training change

Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford has revealed manager Marcelo Bielsa has shaken up his training sessions.

The Argentine coach has altered Leeds' training regime in order to raise morale in the squad, according to Bamford, who spoke to the official Leeds United podcast.

Bamford said: "We were frustrated after the game in the changing room and I think everyone was a bit down.

"We were all blaming the pitch and saying how shocking it was but we knew that we weren't good enough ourselves.

"To be fair since we've gone back in it's just been a steady build-up now to the next game. Today was weird, we had a day of head tennis tournaments which is unheard of in our training.

"I think it was trying to boost the spirits a little bit. Obviously, we had some players playing in the 23s the other day."

He added: "In general everyone is upbeat.

"At the start of the season if someone said you'll be 12th with this many points at this stage, everyone would be like 'flipping heck, bite your hand off'. I think that being a little bit harsh on ourselves just shows how optimistic we are and how much we believe in ourselves that we should be doing better."
