Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips was delighted for matchwinner Raphinha after their 1-0 triumph at Everton.
An end-to-end contest at Goodison Park was settled by Brazilian attacker Raphinha's 79th-minute strike.
"We started well, got on the front foot and we were creating chances," explained Phillips.
“We knew eventually it would come and we just had to defend well, I felt we did that tonight.
“It's a special moment for Raphinha, I've been telling him he is going to score a goal whenever he gets a chance.
“He's come close the last few weeks but finally got one today, he's very good, he's got everything.
“To come into the side shortly after being signed, he's been excellent and I think that is down to us integrating him well into the squad and him working hard."
