Leeds United forward Patrick Bamford has undergone minor surgery on a groin strain.

The 29-year-old has struggled with injury issues throughout the campaign.

Bamford is presently in Munich having the procedure, with Leeds confirming his absence.

The Yorkshire-based club are beginning preparations for the rest of the season, as the World Cup break nears its conclusion.

Bamford has struggled with ankle, knee, and hip problems for the past 18 months.

He has not played a full 90 minutes for the team since September 2021.

Bamford is among seven players not in Spain with the rest of the Leeds squad for training, per the Daily Mail.
