The lawyer of AC Milan wing-back Alessandro Florenzi insists he made no bets on football.

The Euro2020 winner spoke with investigators in Turin yesterday as part of Italy's betting case.

“Alessandro Florenzi spoke to public prosecutor Manuela Pedrotta, clarifying his position and reaffirming he is absolutely extraneous to any type of bets on football, nor has any other evidence or suggestion emerged in that sense," read a statement from lawyers Gianluca Tognozzi and Antonio Conte.

“He also recognised that he did play on illegal platforms and provided the public prosecutor with all the clarification requested, hoping to define his position as soon as possible."
