Las Palmas supremo Ramírez: We can handle Garcia Pimienta leaving

Las Palmas supremo Miguel Ángel Ramírez says the club can handle losing coach Javi Garcia Pimienta.

The coach is being linked with a big club move away.

Ramirez said, "Far from what interests you, that does not interest me. I am interested in my fans continuing to enjoy the progress of the team, that the team is reaping good results in the division.

"We are making the outline of next year's team and if the coach leaves you then we will surely have an alternative, if a striker leaves you will have another alternative. That's how things are done, from peace of mind, not from emergencies.

"I remember that when Quique Setién did not continue, it seemed that Las Palmas would disappear and we reinvented ourselves again, we had Pepe Mel for a lot of years, then García Pimienta came, who has been here for two and a half seasons now and has done magnificently. And if García Pimienta continues, it will be magnificent news and if García Pimienta does not continue, someone else will come who will have to do the same or better than him."
