Giovani Dos Santos could soon be on his way to MLS side LA Galaxy according to reports.

The former Barcelona and Tottenham attacking midfielder is currently plying his trade with La Liga side Villarreal, where he has scored 18 goals in 73 appearances since joining in 2013.

Spanish newspaper El Periodico Mediterraneo is reporting that the Mexican could be the subject of a $7.7million transfer to the reigning MLS champions, who have recently added former Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard to their ranks.

Any move for Dos Santos, 26, would represent a huge statement of ambition from the Galaxy who currently sit fourth on the Western Conference table as they chase an unprecedented sixth MLS Cup.
