Liverpool hero Dirk Kuyt was delighted for his old club after this season's success.
Kuyt now plays in Turkey with Fenerbahce.
"Liverpool had an incredible season, they have done a great job," Kuyt told Sky Sports. "To manage to get a Champions League spot for next year is amazing.
"As a supporter of Liverpool, I was very sad to not see them be champions this season. But the lads have done a great job and they can be proud of themselves."
