Kristoffer Ajer says penning a new deal with Brentford this week was an easy decision.

The defender has penned a deal to 2028 with the option of another year.

“It's fantastic," said the 25-year-old defender. “Brentford is a family club that I'm really attached to - the head coach [Thomas Frank], the staff and the players. I love being here, so it was a really easy decision for me.

“It's the perfect club for me to develop and enjoy my football in the Premier League. I'm extremely happy to extend my contract; I know where I'm going to be for the next years.

“Thomas (Frank) and the staff have been amazing.

“It's a joy to come to this training ground every day; I learn so much. At the weekends, to play at the Gtech in the Premier League is a dream.

“I play wherever the head coach puts me. It's easy to give everything for this group of players; the togetherness is something I have never seen before."
