Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has stated that match-winner Christian Benteke can perform much better than he did against Sunderland on Wednesday night.
Liverpool claimed a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Sunderland at the Stadium of Light with Benteke scoring the sonly goal of the match.
Despite his match-winning contribution, Klopp still believes that Benteke should be aiming to bring about an improvement in his overall performance.
Klopp said: "When a player scores the decisive goal, it's always a positive thing. But I'm sure Christian will know he can play better.
"But at this moment, we need his goals more than anything else. And he made it again, so we are relieved. It's a good sign, and there is more to come from him."
