Liverpool secured qualification to the knockout stages of the Europa League with a 2-1 win over Bordeaux on Thursday night.
The Reds fell behind in the 33rd minute following Henri Saivet's goal from a free-kick but responded through a penalty from James Milner five minutes later.
Christian Benteke scored what proved to be the decisive goal on the stroke of half-time to secure a victory Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp described at 'important' for the whole club.
"It was an important night for the whole team or the club because we are in the next round," he told BT Sport.
"A few weeks ago we were with three points and now we have nine and we can go top of the table in the next round so it's a big chance for us.
"The atmosphere tonight was great and we really enjoyed it. 2-1 is a good result [for the fans] to stay [until the end]."
