Former Manchester City and PSV striker Wim Kieft is keeping an open mind on Jordan Henderson's signing by Ajax.
Former Liverpool captain Henderson joined Ajax last week on a free transfer from Al-Ettifaq.
"Everyone has an opinion about Henderson, and it varies considerably," Kieft writes for De Telegraaf. "Yet something had to happen at Ajax if they did not want to have such a dramatic run as in the first half of the season.
"Henderson may cost a few cents, but they also have a few cents at Ajax. And if they had done nothing, the criticism would have been harsh.
"The fact that he talks a lot on the field is useful for this Ajax, because the team does not give you the feeling that everything is well coordinated. It's nice if Henderson can keep things together a bit, especially in midfield at Ajax, where everyone keeps getting out of position at all times."
