Harry Kewell has rubbished any transfer rumours by signing a contract extension with Turkish club Galatasaray.

The 31-year old Australian winger has penned a fresh one-year deal with the Istanbul-based outfit which was confirmed today.

The former Leeds United and Liverpool man was being linked with a move away from Gala before coming to terms on a new deal that will be completed once he passes medical tests.

Kewell has struggled for game time this year because of an ongoing groin injury but it seems as though the Turkish club are keen to keep him on their books.
