Kawasaki Frontale edge past Urawa in action-packed encounter

Kawasaki Frontale got back to winning ways in the J-League with an eventful victory over Urawa Red Diamonds.

The Red Diamonds hit the lead at home on the half-hour mark through Brazilian striker Edmilson but his compatriot Juninho equalised for Kawasaki in the 57th minute.

Almost immediately, Tatsuya Tanaka put Urawa back in front but again the visitors were able to level, this time thanks to a Renatinho penalty in the 73rd minute.

The drama then increased when Kawasaki went ahead after Korean striker Chong Tese netted three minutes later.

A sixth yellow card for the match was shown to Kawasaki's Vitor Junior a minute before time, sending him packing from the field after an earlier caution adding further drama to the encounter.

The match ended 3-2 to Kawasaki, knocking Urawa from the top of the table and pushing them to sixth.
