The agent of Olivier Kapo says the Frenchman can make the same impact at Birmingham City as former St Andrews favourite Christophe Dugarry.
"Olivier is a top, top player," Willie McKay, who helped broker the £2 million deal, told the Birmingham Mail. "I would put him up there with the best in France talent-wise. He's quick, he's clever, he's got height and tenacity.
"When Steve Bruce went to watch Dugarry for Bordeaux, they were playing him on the left too. Although he wasn't my player, Steve asked me about him and I said I thought he was fantastic up front, which is where Birmingham played him. I've no doubt that he can do for Birmingham what Dugarry did.
"You can accuse me of blowing my own trumpet, but I've brought over Sylvain Distin, Pascal Chimbonda and Henri Camara and he's way clear of them in class and skill.
"He can make a step up from Birmingham to one of the very top teams in England, and I do expect that to happen eventually. That's no disrespect, and Birmingham understand. The board and the management are comfortable with that because he really is a talent and they've nicked him at that price."
