Kaide Gordon featured for Liverpool in their EFL Trophy defeat to Barrow yesterday.

The winger made his first competitive start since February 2022 and wore the captain's armband on the day.

Gordon has been struggling with injury and growth issues since joining Liverpool almost three years ago from Derby County.

The youngster enjoyed an hour, as did player-coach Jay Spearing, against Barrow.

Mateusz Musialowski had the Reds ahead before Barrow eventually won 2-1 via goals from Sean Etaluku and Mazeed Ogungbo.
