Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo celebrates his 35th birthday today - and plans at least another five years in the game.

Tuttosport quotes Ronaldo stating "I will play up to 40 years of age" and are encouraging him to reach the landmark in Serie A.

As such, they have published a list of Serie A's greatest players to have still been performing into their 40s.

Paolo Maldini (defender) - 40 years and 339 days

Javier Zanetti (defender) - 40 years and 281 days

Francesco Totti (striker) - 40 years and 243 days
