Juventus have announced new contract is close to being agreed with Giorgio Chiellini.
There were newspaper reports of a key meeting yesterday between the defender's agent and Bianconeri directors.
"Late this afternoon in the corso Galileo Ferraris headquarters, President Andrea Agnelli, Jean-Claude Blanc and Beppe Marotta met with Chiellini," read a statement on the official website.
"The meeting was held in a relaxed atmosphere. The parties are very close to an agreement to renew the contract.
"The details will be defined in the next few weeks."
