Juventus GM Beppe Marotta is happy with their signing of Nicolas Anelka.
The former Chelsea and Real Madrid striker signed for Juve in January from Shanghai Shenhua.
Marotta said: "Anelka was a free signing, we had Nicklas Bendtner injured and we wanted to strengthen the offensive department in anticipation of possible injuries.
"The operation was relevant but does not burden the future. It was linked to a contingency plan."
