Juventus coach Allegri: Ronaldo critical for Empoli win

Juventus coach Max Allegri was happy with Cristiano Ronaldo's performance for their 3-1 win over Empoli.

Ronaldo didn't score, but he did rattle the woodwork and created the assist for Juan Cuadrado's goal.

Allegri said, “He has always been a leader and above all an extraordinary player, as you saw from the assist he put on Cuadrado's foot. These are different players who in the decisive moment always come up with a goal or a great pass."

Juve host Manchester United in the Champions League on Wednesday evening.

Giorgio Chiellini and Federico Bernardeschi are ready to play. We have to evaluate Mario Mandzukic's ankle and Douglas Costa had a muscular twinge. It'll be a big game and we have to seal our qualification for the next round."
