Juventus coach Allegri admits Pogba setback: He needs 3 months to return to best

Juventus coach Max Allegri admits Paul Pogba has suffered a new injury setback.

Ahead of their clash with Lazio, Allegri revealed Pogba, who has recovered from knee surgery, pulled up short in training yesterday.

He said, "The solution with (Fede) Chiesa, (Angel) Di Maria and (Dusan) Vlahovic up front was what I had in mind at the beginning season. Then the vicissitudes of football..

"Pogba who is out, Di Maria out a month and a half after the first game, Chiesa who is not back: the team has found a different set-up. When the players have been back for a long time, I think of Chiesa out for 10 months or Paul for 6 months, since July 23, they are struggling because they have to restart a car that has been standing still for a long time.

"Pogba did a good workout during the week, then he had some pain: the engine needs to settle down and there it takes time, as happened with Chiesa. Maybe in 2-3 months he will be in optimal conditions."
