Juventus want Angel di Maria to stay on next season.

Signed in the summer on a free transfer from PSG, Di Maria only penned a 12 month deal with the aim of returning home to Argentina in 2023.

However, La Gazzetta dello Sport says Juve want to persuade the veteran about going around again next season.

His agent and lawyer, Lisandro Pirosanto, has met with Federico Cherubini, the Juventus sports director, in recent days to discuss the 34 year-old's situation.

Cherubini is eager for Di Maria to continue in order to give him more time to find a long-term replacement.
