Isco's arrival at Real Betis is proof of the club's pulling power, says Joaquin.
The Betis legend retired last summer and now acts as club ambassador.
Joaquin said: "For us it is important that people continue to be excited; that important players like Isco want to come to Betis; that is our idea: that the important players see that we continue to grow and not settle.
"Since the arrival of Manuel Pellegrini (in July 2020) we have achieved a consistency that is important for us. He is a coach with an important history, with very clear ideas.
"It is a long race and we must be able to reach the end of the league competing with the best. I think we are achieving that, institutionally we are taking an important step in many things, that also makes us grow, be at the level of the fans we have."
