Joaquin hints at working with Real Betis after retirement

Joaquin emotionally addressed Real Betis fans at the end of his farewell game last night.

The 41 year-old has hung up his boots and enjoyed a special tribute match at the Benito Villamarín.

He said at the final whistle: "I don't know what I did to receive so much love, honestly. I want to thank all my colleagues who have come today and have been with me on such a special day.

"I also want to thank all the people who work behind the scenes, and without them all this would not have been possible. Thanks to my family, my wife and my daughters.

"Thanks for always being there. We will be there at the foot of the canyon. I am leaving as a footballer, but I will be lucky to continue working with you side by side to be up to the task of these great fans."
