Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic says there's no resentment towards Frank Lampard after his goal for Manchester City. Ivanovic doesn't resent his former team-mate for scoring a goal that could make the difference in the title race come May.
He told the London Evening Standard: "This is football, so it's not about needing to forgive or accept. The game finished 1-1 and we have to look at ourselves. We have to look at our games and just be focused on that.
"For us a goal is a goal. We don't think about that [the fact it was Lampard scoring]. We know he is a great finisher and as a team we could have done better in that situation.
"We congratulated him afterwards. We know he is a legend and the big things he gave to Chelsea.
"Everyone who worked with Frank knows how professional he was and what he gave to our club.
"We played against the champions and they are a good team, even with 10 players. But we are still first in the table. The season is long and we have to carry on our way."
