Per Mertesacker has slammed Arsenal's attitude following the weekend's clash with Crystal Palace.
Despite enjoying most of the possession, Arsenal managed only a 1-1 draw against Palace at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday and the result was greeted with a cacophony of boos by the home faithful at the final whistle.
Defender Mertesacker was left very unimpressed by Arsenal's inability to grind out the victory during the clash and has gone on to state that the Gunners lack both discipline as well as a desperation to win football matches.
The German veteran said: "It's about discipline. We lacked a bit of that desperation, even when we were 2-0 up at West Ham, to defend and get everyone behind the ball.
"To come back to that level is absolutely important in the Premier League, and if you don't you will get punished. These details are very important to us and everyone can see it, it is obvious."
