With Ruud van Nistelrooy to miss the start of next season due to injury, Real are seeking a readymade replacement for the Dutchman and are again in talks with Inter over Brazil international Adriano.

Inter management are keen to offload the troubled striker and have welcomed Real's new approach. The Serie A champs are keen to discuss a player swap and coach Roberto Mancini has already asked about the availability of Antonio Cassano and midfielder Mahamadou Diarra.
