Inter Milan defender Fede Dimarco insists he meant his wonder goal against Frosinone.

Dimarco has stunned football with his long range strike last week.

And he said from the Italy camp: “That was a shot on goal.

“Out of the corner of my eye I looked at Dumfries, but then I turned my head and saw the goalkeeper. I noticed that he was off his line. For better or worse, I had a go and the ball went in."

Dimarco also said: “I think qualifying for the Euros is almost an obligation. Italy won the last one, and the fans demand that we qualify again."
