Inter Milan captain Samir Handanovic will be offered a place on the coaching staff when he retires.

The veteran goalkeeper could hang up the gloves at the end of the season.

Handanovic's contract is running down and he is considering whether or not to end his sports career after ten and a half seasons in the ranks of Inter.

Sportmediaset says should he choose retirement, Handanovic will immediately embark on a new professional adventure with the backroom team of coach Simone Inzaghi.

In what coaching role, however, is still to be defined.
