Inter Milan ace Christian Eriksen is sorry to see Antonio Conte resign.

Eriksen signed for Inter last year to work with Conte and they won the Scudetto together this past season.

But Conte has now resigned and Eriksen said: "We have always been good friends. He has, of course, seen football in one way and I have seen it in another way. That he has stopped, it came as a big surprise. It was a bit out of the blue, and so precisely because we just won. So that was a big surprise.

"What is going to happen now, I unfortunately do not know, and I do not really focus on it.

"The focus is on the European Championships, and then I must catch up on Inter when I go back there."
