Inter Milan ace Christian Eriksen admits the past year has been the toughest of his career.
Eriksen is now producing outstanding form for the Serie A leaders, though was close to quitting the Nerazzurri only in January.
He told TV2: "It has been the hardest and most demanding year. It has been up and down. But first and foremost, I feel that I have now come to a big upturn.
"When I say that (I wanted to leave in January), it's not because I think I wanted to get away in any way. I really wanted to fight for my place, which I have had to do all along.
"I was sure that if my chance came, I would probably try to take it. I also feel that I have done that."
