Real Madrid coach Julen Lopetegui is surprised by the attitude of Karim Benzema.

Lopetegui joined Real believing Benzema was a "lazy player" and someone who could be "surly" in training.

However, Okdiario's chief pundit Eduardo Inda, speaking on El Chiringuito de Jugones, revealed the coach has been surprised by the Frenchman.

"Lopetegui, who is doing well, is delighted with Benzema," said Inda. "He is training like a junior.

"He is surprised by the attitude of the player."

Benzema has scored four goals for Real in their first three games of the season.
