West Ham United may be breathing a sigh of relief after Mohamed Diame indicated his hamstring injury is nowhere near as bad as first thought.
The 25-year old Senegalese midfielder was stretchered off during Sunday's 3-2 loss to Liverpool with the severity of the problem such that manager Sam Allardyce suggested he could miss around 12 weeks.
But Diame reportedly told Sky Sports on Monday that 'the injury is not as serious as first feared and hopes to be back in action in January.'
