Chelsea are wrapping up the signing of PSV Eindhoven prospect Ian Maatsen.

The 16 year-old defender has been likened to former Blue Nathan Ake, now of Bournemouth.

Eindhovens Dagblad says Maatsen's minders informed PSV Eindhoven of Chelsea's offer and his plan to take them up on it.

PSV had tabled the teen a three-year deal, but it wasn't enough to convince him to stay.

Maatsen also spent time during his junior career with Sparta Rotterdam and Feyenoord. PSV will receive €110,000 from Chelsea in compensation.
