Former Cheivo manager Beppe Iachini is lamenting the fact that he was sacked from his post.
After leading the Verona club to the Serie B title last season, Iachini could not re-produce his magic and had the club on the bottom of the Serie A table but he believes, if given time, he could have got the job done.
"Chievo weren't lacking anything while I was there," he told Toscana TV.
"We were undergoing a programme of adaptation to Serie A and it is normal to suffer a little.
"We had several injuries and some bad luck that meant we had fewer points than we could have had.
"But I'm convinced that with a bit of patience we would have got back on track - still that's the way football is."
