Liverpool midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai is being backed to become a top class defensive midfielder.

The creative talent has come in from RB Leipzig in the summer under the guidance of manager Jurgen Klopp.

With the German coach revamping his club's midfield, Szoboszlai is set to play a big role in the coming months.

And his Hungary national team boss Marco Rossi believes that he can play as a defensive midfielder like Andrea Pirlo did.

"I know he said that he doesn't like too much to play in this position, but I really think that in the future he could be a fantastic number six," said Rossi.

"He has all the skills to be in this position, like (Andrea) Pirlo was, just to give an example. I think Pirlo was the best in this position in the last 15 years, and Dominik has really good skills to play in this position."
