Hull's Olofinjana delighted with Stoke goal

Seyi Olofinjana was delighted to score for Hull City in their win over former club Stoke.

The Nigeria international produced one of his best performances in a Hull shirt for the 2-1 win.

"That goal has been a long time coming," Olofinjana told TIGERS Player.

"I said in a pre-match interview that I had been a little bit disappointed in myself because the club have put a lot of faith in me. They didn't just bring me here to make up the numbers and I came here to play my part.

"I came here with a record for being a goal-scoring midfielder and I'm pleased the first one has come along. I just pray that there is much more still to come.

"For the team, that was a fully-deserved three points. The way we went about the game was right and you could see the energy from the first minute to the last.

"To win the game in the last minute - what a fantastic way to win a game of football! We had that belief on the field that something was going to happen and when they had the man sent off, that gave us a brilliant opportunity.

"This can be a massive boost for us."
