Hull City midfielder Tom Huddlestone insists the presence of Roy Hodgson didn't affect his game against Southampton.

Hodgson saw Saints thrash Hull on Saturday.

Huddlestone said: "Obviously we got battered.

"But I didn't regard it as an audition or a trial game."
