Bristol Rovers winger Alefe Santos is interesting Hull City.
The Hull Daily Mail says Hull are understood to have been rebuffed in an attempt to sign Brazilian-born Santos.
Santos, 19, is out of contract but has been offered a new deal to stay at the Memorial Stadium, and it is believed that Rovers are confident of retaining his services after rejecting the Tigers' offer out of hand.
City were keen to recruit Santos and add him to their Under-21 development set up, but would now have to return with an improved offer or be prepared to go to a tribunal if they intend to continue their pursuit for the home-grown player.
