Hull City manager Liam Rosenior lavished praise on Liverpool's Tyler Morton this week.
Morton, who is on loan at Hull for the season, was impressive during a Friday draw with Coventry City.
Morton came on in the second half of the game and set up the equaliser for Hull star Aaron Connolly.
"Tyler came on (and was very good). He's had no minutes because he's had a minor injury," his new manager told Hull Live in response.
"I thought he was magnificent when he came on.
"He showed so many touches of class, so many touches of quality, he kept us on the ball was brave and he showed exactly why we worked so hard to bring him to the club. That 30-minute performance showed exactly why we waited so long to bring him in.
"He's not up to full fitness at all. I have three midfielders in there – Tyler, Regan (Slater) and Mika (Jean Michael Seri) – whichever of those two start, we'll have quality. Tyler's an outstanding young player – he's really happy and turned down a lot of clubs to be here."
