Hull City boss Phil Brown has denied the club are set to sign Blackburn outcast Maceo Rigters on loan.

The former NAC Breda striker is growing disillusioned at life in Blackburn's reserves and has hinted at a loan move away from Ewood Park.

However, Brown has distanced himself from the 23-year-old, stating no contact has been made with Mark Hughes' side.

"There's been no contact with Blackburn," Brown told the Hull Daily Mail.

"It's a simple case of it being that if we think there's a player out there who can improve what we've got, then we will consider it."
