Huddersfield Town boss David Wagner has confirmed a deal for Monaco defender Terence Kongolo is close.

The Dutchman is due in England to finalise a loan deal.

After defeat to Leicester City, Wagner stated: "We are close, I can confirm that.

"We are charmed by him and we'll see what happens during the transfer period.

"I cannot tell you when it's finished, but hopefully we'll be able to pull the transfer off."
