Huddersfield Town boss Jan Siewart says Adama Diakhaby has a long way to go after his dazzling performance in Saturday's loss to Arsenal.
The 22-year-old has only shown flashes of brilliance since he arrived from Monaco last summer for a fee of around £8m.
And Siewart has urged the Frenchman to continue working hard for his development.
He said: "Different managers have different ideas and this is totally normal and each player is responding in another way to another manager.
"Adama is showing that he is on the right way but of course he has to work a lot and I told him that you have to work a lot.
"This makes me proud that players accept it and work on their weaknesses but also work on their strengths."
