Houston Dynamo brings in Honduran midfielder Lopez

Houston Dynamo have confirmed the signing of Honduran midfielder Alexander Lopez.

The 21-year old has joined the Dynamo from homeland club Olimpia and will be added to the MLS clubs roster as a Young Designated Player upon receipt of his P-1 Visa and international transfer certificate.

Dynamo head coach Dom Kinnear was thrilled to welcome the talented Honduras international to the BBVA Compass Stadium.

"We've seen him up close, including last year in Champions League and this year in the Gold Cup," said Kinnear.

"He is very versatile and a good fit for our team. Chris Canetti and (Director of Soccer Operations) Nick Kowba deserve credit for staying resilient, along with help from the league, to bring him here.

"He is a young international with a bright future and I thought he was good at the (CONCACAF) Gold Cup."
