Gonzalo Higuain is backing Napoli's move for Barcelona utility Javier Mascherano.
Napoli coach Rafa Benitez is chasing his former Liverpool midfielder this month.
Higuain said: "Javier is a very important player and a friend of mine, it would be a pleasure to have him in Naples.
"[Rafa] Benitez knows him very well because he coached him at Liverpool.
"[Sporting director Riccardo] Bigon is doing a great job. We are calm, this is a great team. If someone arrives in January to help the squad, we are happy. Otherwise, we can do great things with this squad."
