Henderson to leave without Al-Ettifag paying a penny on wages

Former Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson may never see his £350,000-a-week salary at Al-Ettifaq.

The Englishman has ripped up his deal with the Saudi Pro League club to return to Europe.

Henderson is set to sign for Ajax, per British and Dutch sources, as a free agent.

The Telegraph states that he has yet to be paid any of his contract with Al-Ettifaq.

The reason is entirely his own doing, as Henderson deferred his wages to save on UK taxes.

However, he has since ripped up that deal, which means he may not be entitled to that back pay.
